We create your own paper pattern, then our in-house tailors cut and hand-stitch your suit in our Sydney workshop.

What "bespoke" really means
Bespoke is one of the most overused words in menswear. At Chokman, it means a suit built from a paper pattern created for your body, not a standard pattern adjusted to fit.

It also suits anyone building a wardrobe for the long term, because your pattern is kept on file for future orders. We make True Bespoke suits for both men and women.
How it works

Your first appointment (about 1 hour). We talk through fabric, take your 30+ measurements and start to discover your own distinctive style. There is nothing to prepare. Just bring an open mind.
Your pattern. We create your own paper pattern from your measurements and keep it on file. -
The basted fitting. At your first fitting, the jacket and trousers are loosely stitched together. That lets us see how the suit sits on you and adjust it before final construction.

More fittings, as many as needed. Most clients have 3 to 4, but we never limit the number. We keep refining until it is right.

Collection. Your finished suit is usually ready 3 to 4 months after your first appointment.

After delivery. Adjustments after delivery are included. We keep adjusting until you are fully satisfied, and if it is needed, we will remake the garment.
What goes into your suit
Full horsehair canvas. The canvas is the hidden structure inside a jacket that gives it shape. In a True Bespoke jacket it is horsehair canvas, hand-stitched throughout, so the jacket can mould to your body over time and keep its shape.
Hand-stitched, 40+ hours. Every True Bespoke suit takes more than 40 hours of tailoring by our in-house tailors, who have 30+ years of experience.
Your style, your way. There are no limits on style or detail. Lapels, lining, buttons, pockets, vents and every other choice are made to your requirements.

At the moment we are not able to accept cloth supplied by clients.
Bespoke Rush order
Rush orders 2 to 3 months, with a 20% rush fee of the order
Ordering again
We create and store each client's pattern for future use. If your body has not changed, reordering is simpler and easier. If something has changed, we make slight adjustments to those areas only.

How long does a bespoke suit take?
Usually 3 to 4 months. If you need it sooner, a rush order takes 2 to 3 months, with a 20% rush fee.
How many fittings will I need?
Normally 3 to 4, but there is no limit. We keep adjusting until you are fully satisfied.
What is a basted fitting?
It is your first fitting. The jacket and trousers are loosely stitched together, so we can check and adjust the fit on you before the final construction.
Do you make bespoke suits for women?
Yes, True Bespoke is available for both men and women.
